Nails :: Nail Tek Hydration Therapy Color, Dose-A-Rosa [NOTD]

I'm using Nail Tek Intensive Therapy II hoping it would stop my nails from peeling and make them harder and stronger. But it's hard to give up on colour nail polish so I was pleased to find a nail polish that claims to be good for my nails.

Nail Tek claims:
Hydration Therapy Color combines pure water and Pentavitin, a unique water magnet molecule that banks moisture within surface of the natural nail to establish and maintain moisture balance of the nail, nail bed, and cuticle. Hydration Therapy Color - the only nail color that's good for your nail. Hydration Therapy Color is ultra compatible and can be used in combination with other nautral nail products.

The bottle is really pretty and contains 15 ml. The brush is quite long, flexible and easy to use. The nail polish itself is super easy to apply - no streaks, it's opaque in one coat though I prefer to put two coats. After two days of wearing it still no chiping.

Dose-A-Rosa is a bright deep pink with creme finish. It loos really nice with Essence Circus Confetti on top.

Is it really good for my nails? I've no idea but I believe it is :-)

Makeup :: Sleek eyeshadow palettes (Curacao, Monaco, Oh So Special, Storm)

I knew it would happen, I'm officially infected by Sleekmania. I have four brand new Sleek eyeshadow palettes and I wonder why so late. These are not a Holy Grail for me but  I really like them!

The packaging is nice and sleek (!) on the outside. Inside you can tell it's a cheap product but there is a big mirror and good quality eyeshadows. And that's all that matters, right? I have some problems opening the palette and if you have weak nails I strongly recommend using some kind of a tool. I really like the fact that there's a matte black eyeshadow in every palette however the pigmentationdiffers. The applicator is rediculous and better use some brushes.

The eyeshadows last long without any flaking, fading or smudging if you use an eyeshadow base. I know that many people would like more matt colours in Sleek palettes but I'm not one of them. In my opinion matt eyeshadows are not the strongest element of these palettes. The pigmentation is usually poor and there's a lot of fallout. I prefer pearl eyeshadows - strongly pigmented, creamy and longlasting.

Overall a really affordable and good quality product.

CURACAO
Curacao palette from Caribbean Collection is very colourful and totally not my style. At least I thought so. It turned out that the only colours I probably won't ever use are Blue Lagoon, Bloody Mary and Screvdriver. The rest is wearable. Tequila Sunrise is probably the most pigmented eyeshadow I've ever seen.

top: tequila sunrise, martini, blue hawaiian, bloody mary, screwdriver, green iguana
bottom: apres midroi, blue lagoon, purple haze, green martini, singapore sling, espresso martini

MONACO
Monaco from Mediterranean Collection is colourful but less bright than Curacao and can be used to create daytime look. Lots of great shades, I love Lotus Flower and Kiwi Zest. Midnight Garden however is disappointing - poor pigmentation and lots of fallout.

top: bamboo, aquamarine, midnight garden, sunset, washed ashore, magenta madness
bottom: summer breeze, sand walker, kiwi zest, lotus flower, humming bird, moors treasure

OH SO SPECIAL
Oh So Special is so pretty and versatile. I think it would suit any skin tone. I love matt pinks: Pamper and Ribbon and pearl Organza and Gateau. Brown Boxed is a great shade for my eyebrows.

top: bow, organza, ribbon, gift basket, glitz. celebrate
bottom: pamper, gateau, the mail, boxed, wrapped up, noir

STORM
Storm is a beautiful and strongly pigmented mostly pearl eyeshadows. There are only three matt shades which is a good thing for me as I'm not fond of Sleek matt shades. Storm is great for both daily and evening makeup. A must have!
