Hair care :: Yves Rocher, 1-Minute Radiance Mask

I use hair conditioner every day and once or twice a week I use a hair mask. Unfortunately I can't use products containing silicones (make my scalp ichy and cause dermatitis) so I'm always on a hunt for something silicone-free. Recently I bought 1-Minute Radiance Mask from Yves Rocher.

Claims:
Yves Rocher's Laboratories chose marigold for its softening properties and passionflower for its protective powers. Use this fresh, melting formula to give your hair a different feeling to the touch, without extra heaviness: it will be ultra-luminous and shining with beauty.
Tested under dermatological supervision. Botanical-based ingredients: marigold and passionflower extracts from organically grown ingredients. Paraben free. Bottle contains recycled plastic to decrease plastic use.

It has a nice colour and quite thin formula which is good because enables to distribute the product evenly but on the other hand you have to be very careful not to spill it. It has a nice citrus smell to it. Sadly it doesn't stay on my hair.

I was awfully disappointed after the first use of this mask. I put a quite a lot on my hair but the product started dripping. Being absolutely sure that the mask would last me only for three applications I coursed Yves Rocher. My hair looked bad - heavy, flat, no volume at all. But I decided to try again and this time I used only a tiny amount. My hair looked fabulous - soft, voluminous, shiny but in a different way than after using silicone masks. It's more like shine from withing and not from a substance on the surface.

The jar is really pretty and it's nice it was made of recycled plastic. For me it's to shallow which - given the consistency of the mask - makes it easy to spill.

+
  • hair is soft, voluminuous and shiny
  • doesn't make hair heavy
  • nice scent
  • no silicones or parabens
  • environment friendly packaging
  • good price

-
  • too thin and watery
  • shallow jar
  • hard to use in the shower

Funny thing: it's the first 1-minute mask in the world that you're supposed to leave in for two minutes :-D.

Polecam też maseczkę odżywczo-dobudowującą do suchych włosów i szampony - muszę wszystko zrecenzować :-)

  5. wygląda apetycznie, jak budyń waniliowy ! :D
